Assistant, and/or Associate Professor of Pharmacology
About the role
The Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences at LIU Pharmacy invites applications for two full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level in the field of Pharmacology. The candidates will participate in scholarship, teaching, and service functions within the College.
Responsibilities
- Teach in the graduate pharmacology program (M.S. & Ph.D.) and in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program.
- Collaborate with researchers both on and off campus and seek and obtain extramural funding for research.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology.
- B.S. degree in pharmacy is highly desirable.
- A prior record of teaching in some capacity (teaching assistant, Instructor, Lecturer, etc.) at a college of pharmacy or similar program is preferred.
- Possess a track record of scholarly research and peer-reviewed publications and demonstrate potential for attracting extramural funding.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology.
Skills
The division welcomes applications from a wide range of expertise in pharmacology, including Molecular Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, Therapeutics, Clinical Pharmacology, Systems Pharmacology, Pharmacogenomics, and Pharmacometrics.
Benefits
The positions are 12-months and rank will depend on qualifications and experience.
