About the role
As an Assistant Administrator, you will support the Administrator in the overall operation of the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and policies and procedures. This role ensures the highest degree of quality care is provided to our residents at all times. You will create an environment that engages and motivates staff to deliver their best each day while maintaining the highest level of care.
Responsibilities
- Support the Administrator in the day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
- Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
- Engage and motivate staff to provide high-quality care to residents.
- Maintain knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
Requirements
- 2+ years of previous experience in a long-term care environment, preferably as an Assistant Administrator or AIT.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
- Current unencumbered Federal and State Nursing Home Administrator’s license.
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations relating to nursing homes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a union environment.
- Documented successful track record based on past Department of Health Services survey results.
- Specialization in healthcare administration or business administration.
