About the role

The Assistant Account Executive will report to a Senior Account Executive, providing world-class support on multiple client accounts and contributing to the growth of Haymaker, a leading PR firm in New York.

Responsibilities

  • Organize weekly agendas and take detailed notes for both internal and external meetings
  • Create media lists and develop briefing documents
  • Track deliverables and manage junior team members
  • Secure client coverage by engaging with the news media and building relationships
  • Develop initial drafts of award applications, press releases, and op-eds
  • Receive mentorship from Senior Leadership and contribute to the shaping of the company's direction

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or higher
  • Some agency or in-house communications internship experience preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • World-class organizational skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • A knack for relentlessly crystallizing next steps and operationalizing ideas
  • A bias towards non-transactional networking
  • Hunger to learn, grow, and receive candid feedback
