About the role
The Assistant Account Executive will report to a Senior Account Executive, providing world-class support on multiple client accounts and contributing to the growth of Haymaker, a leading PR firm in New York.
Responsibilities
- Organize weekly agendas and take detailed notes for both internal and external meetings
- Create media lists and develop briefing documents
- Track deliverables and manage junior team members
- Secure client coverage by engaging with the news media and building relationships
- Develop initial drafts of award applications, press releases, and op-eds
- Receive mentorship from Senior Leadership and contribute to the shaping of the company's direction
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or higher
- Some agency or in-house communications internship experience preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- World-class organizational skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- A knack for relentlessly crystallizing next steps and operationalizing ideas
- A bias towards non-transactional networking
- Hunger to learn, grow, and receive candid feedback
