Assets Protection Specialist - North Dallas, TX

About the role

The Assets Protection Specialist plays a crucial role in keeping guests, team members, and the brand secure. This position focuses on reducing shortages, preventing theft and fraud, and ensuring product availability for guests.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by greeting guests, helping them find items, and resolving issues.
• Use surveillance and intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure.
• Implement Target's Assets Protection practices and routines to reduce and prevent shortages.
• Properly and effectively document cases.
• Identify strategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, and apprehend subjects.
• Monitor theft activity using video systems.
• Respond to security incidents and submit appropriate documentation.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies and best practices.
• Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to represent Target's interests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb up and down ladders
• Must be capable of apprehending subjects in accordance with company policy
• Must be able to lift and move merchandise up to 40 pounds without additional assistance
• Must be flexible to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times
• Must be capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties
• Must be able to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift

Pay

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $22.25 - $24.25. The full pay range for this position per hour is $22.25 - $37.80. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.

Schedule

This role requires a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times.
