About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical senior lead writer and editorial strategist to support our Wealth Management Content team’s mission to bring GS thought leadership to life for our prospects and clients.

How you will fulfill your potential

  • Maintain Brand Consistency: Adhere to brand guidelines, tone, voice, and messaging architecture to ensure consistency across all content.
  • Project Management: Navigate project management systems and collaborate with teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content.
  • Simplify Complex Topics: Translate complex financial concepts into engaging, accessible content for target audiences.
  • Create and Refine Content: Pitch, assign, write, edit, and proofread content for various formats, including digital, video and print with accuracy and clarity.
  • Copy writing: Work with our promotions lead to draft provocative copy for multiple channels including social media, newsletter, email, web and more.
  • Research and Reference: Identify and cite credible sources for articles, white papers, and case studies. Develop relationships with private wealth advisors to deliver the most relevant content to clients and prospects.
  • Review and Compliance: Manage editorial, subject matter, and regulatory reviews to ensure content meets the highest standards.
  • Analyze and Measurement: Analyze historical learnings, campaign performance, and business needs to evaluate effectiveness and integrate learnings into editorial strategy.
  • Market intelligence and competitive analysis: Conduct and distribute analysis on a regular basis to understand trends, gaps and optimize editorial strategy.

Experience & Skills We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or English
  • 5+ years of experience with financial markets concepts, the investment industry and writing on diverse financial and wealth management topics for global audiences.
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering marketing or advertising campaigns as well as creating and overseeing editorial and/or content strategy including editorial calendar management.
  • Excellent time management and self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple complex projects to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven copy writing, editing, grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into easily understood copy using multiple voices and styles.
  • Good balance of strategic thinking as well as leadership and execution.
  • Intellectually curious; willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Familiarity and interest in using AI writing and research tools as part of content workflows to gain operating efficiencies and improve brand adherence while maintaining high standards.
  • Experience with writing for or marketing to ultra-high net worth audiences a plus.
  • Experience with the nuances of multi-channel (print, web, email, social, video, audio) content.
  • CMS experience and experience with Adobe dashboards.
  • A fast learner and self-starter that can work independently and proactively.
  • Agile and can switch gears based on project prioritization.
  • Strong interpersonal, matrixed team relationship management skills.
  • Personal commitment to accuracy, strong attention to detail and proactive risk management mindset.
  • Experience in compliance-driven environment.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York United States based position is $85000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
