About the role

Asset & Wealth Management Engineering focuses on empowering clients and customers through financial planning, investment management, banking, and digital solutions. The ideal candidate will contribute to building customer-centric products and will work in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a global cross-functional team in building customer-centric products
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into proper solutions
  • Participate with architecture team in technical evaluations, solution, and design approaches discussions
  • Design, build, test, and deploy highly scalable, high-volume web services following a traditional REST API model
  • Perform code reviews and mentor other team members on the proper approaches to web services development
  • Lead and direct standard software development guidelines and best practices
  • Provide objective advice, expertise, and specialist support skills to create value and maximize growth or improve business performance
  • Ensure development activities are on a path to deliver benefits realization
  • Collaborate with key functional partners in the implementation of initiatives
  • Recognize solution and determine at what point issues require escalation to leadership
  • Analyze existing software to identify areas of improvement and provide estimates for implementing new features
  • Manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing
  • Participate in user story refinement, technical design, code reviews, and the team's Agile process

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent industry experience
  • 7+ Years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with Java 17+, Python 3.10+, TypeScript 4+
  • Hands-on development implementing web services with Spring Boot and Node.JS microservices providing REST APIs
  • Hands-on development implementing UX with React or Angular in TypeScript
  • Hands-on development implementing data pipelines and analytics using Python
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Platform (EC2, ECS, APIGW, Route53, S3, etc.) including serverless patterns for providing REST APIs
  • Experience with major open-source tools and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Docker, and Hibernate
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with build and development tools like Gradle and Maven
  • Experience with Linux / Unix environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying them to improve our products
  • Ability to establish trusted partnerships with cross-functional team members, product owners, and executive level stakeholders

Pay

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
