Job Duties

Sophisticated oversight and coordination of client accounts from a Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management Operations standpoint by integrating client issues across all relevant teams supporting Retail Separately Managed Accounts.

  • Act as a central liaison for Asset & Wealth Management Operations.
  • Assess current processes and offer functional insights to enhance workflow efficiency, aligning with business growth needs.
  • Ensure the accuracy of accounting data and oversee the creation of a controlled environment for investment management processes.
  • Support the Portfolio Administrator team in maintaining the integrity of internal books and records.
  • Coordinate and track tasks across multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Portfolio Management, Business Intelligence) to ensure timely setup of operational information for account trading activities.
  • Provide prompt trading desk support, covering areas like cash management, position levels, and ad-hoc inquiries, as well as ongoing business initiatives.
  • Proactively monitor for operational issues and address them before they affect clients.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to devise and implement tactical and strategic solutions.
  • Review account-level metrics, including cash/position/tax lot reconciliations, corporate actions, failed trades, and exception management, adhering to operating standards.
  • Research, escalate, and resolve exceptions as necessary.
  • Offer thought leadership in addressing day-to-day operational support concerns and supporting system/workflow rollouts and new product launches.
  • Analyze workflow cost drivers and trends to facilitate process improvements and enhance operational efficiency, utilizing automation tools and engineering builds for budgeting and cost allocation.

Job Requirements

  • A Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field, with one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related role.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field, with three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
  • Prior work experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) in the following areas:
    • Extracting client investment data and performing financial analyses across multiple systems.
    • Applying analytical methods to identify key drivers, validate results, and maintain financial ledger accuracy.
    • Managing time-sensitive projects with consistent quality, tracking requirements, documenting progress, and adhering to established timelines.
    • Identifying and implementing automation opportunities using low-code platforms (Alteryx, Tableau, SQL) to reduce manual processes and minimize operational risks.
    • Identifying and evaluating opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline operational workflows, and building ETL data flows to ingest data into data visualization tools (Excel, Tableau).
    • Utilizing MS Office tools, including Outlook, to effectively communicate and manage Portfolio Management/Sales queries.
    • Ensuring the execution of supervisory controls and accurate completion of Close-of-Day processes, conducting detailed reviews of workflows, reconciliation outputs, and risk-based scenarios to maintain process integrity.
    • Triaging live portfolio administration and trade support scenarios to ensure accurate and timely middle-office processing.

  • Experience ensuring the execution of supervisory controls and accurate completion of Close-of-Day processes.
  • Experience triaging live portfolio administration and trade support scenarios to ensure accurate and timely middle-office processing.
