About the Role

This Vice President will play a key role within the Asset Management (AM) Marketing team at Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management, leading efforts to drive the global equity business forward. The VP will partner with investment teams to define product positioning, develop narratives, messaging strategy, and product content. They will work across the AM Marketing team to infuse product-related insights into content creation, digital marketing, paid media, social media, analytics, and design to create end-to-end campaigns and programs in service of new product launches and broader commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead execution of strategic marketing plans to build awareness and affinity for AM's investment capabilities.
  • Ensure value propositions and messaging pillars are infused through all product marketing assets.
  • Develop and lead implementation of marketing plans around new product/fund launches, major announcements, tentpole events, and client conferences.
  • Partner with AM Marketing colleagues to deliver well-thought-out, impactful, and quantifiable product-specific marketing campaigns, leveraging a range of channels and tactics to maximize effectiveness.
  • Create and develop product-specific marketing collateral (e.g., emails, presentations, premier publications) in partnership with AM's design team.
  • Map out a coordinated product-specific calendar that harmonizes with AM's content calendar and sequences externally published content appropriately and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Technology team to synthesize end-to-end reporting and measurement of day-to-day and campaign-related marketing impact, delivering clear Marketing Return on Investment (MROI) and adjusting the marketing approach as necessary to optimize impact.
  • Maintain strict adherence to regulatory and procedural guidelines for all marketing communications, including proactive management of operational risk.
  • Take an active leadership role in the AM Marketing team, adopting a collaborative approach, sharing best practices, and contributing to the team's overall success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with AM Marketing colleagues, Global Marketing partners, Corporate Communications, sales and investment heads, and key stakeholders across AM.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in a similar role within a leading financial institution, with an outstanding track record and measurable impacts.
  • Strong knowledge of the asset management industry, including clients, products, regulations, and competitors.
  • Experience working with and delivering data-heavy collateral in a marketing or sales function on a regular update cycle.
  • A strong understanding of all marketing media, including digital, social, and print collateral.
  • Interest in investment views and markets, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story.
  • Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations with excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage with partners at all levels and manage multiple priorities under timeframe pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS); MBA and/or CFA preferred.

Pay

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125,000–$250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
