Asset Protection Specialist
About the role
As the Asset Protection Specialist, you are focused on preventing loss and controlling shrink by monitoring various areas of the store for fraud, compliance discrepancies, and other related activities. You work to identify potential concerns through use of video surveillance and other systems, apprehending in accordance with company policy, local and state laws, with safety as the prevailing priority. The Asset Protection Specialist ensures the store is a safe and secure environment for customers, associates, and business partners.
You will work in varying environments, including inside the store and its outside perimeter, and approach challenges in a positive, kind manner. Building relationships and teaching others are key aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor store areas for fraud, compliance discrepancies, and other loss-prevention activities.
- Use video surveillance and other systems to identify potential security concerns.
- Apprehend individuals in accordance with company policy and local/state laws, prioritizing safety.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, associates, and business partners.
- Build relationships and educate others on loss prevention practices.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or related fields.
- Ability to work in varying environments (e.g., store interior and exterior).
