Responsibilities
- Protect & Deter – Actively prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations by maintaining a visible and professional presence in-store.
- Apprehend with Confidence – Safely and lawfully detain offenders, following all company and legal procedures.
- Investigate & Collaborate – Conduct detailed internal and external investigations, gather and analyze evidence, and work closely with law enforcement when required.
- Reduce Shrink – Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and implement effective prevention strategies.
- Support Operations – Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations.
- Stay Agile – Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, adapting quickly to new challenges.
Requirements
- Credentials & Knowledge – Valid Provincial Security Guard License, understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation.
- Tech Edge – Experience with CCTV, surveillance tools, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Professional Presence – Approachable, confident, and respectful with exceptional communication skills.
- Integrity & Initiative – A high level of trustworthiness, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Retail Insight – Previous experience in grocery, pharmacy, or other high-volume retail environments is an asset.
Qualifications
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License.
- Understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and related legislation.
