Asset Protection Investigator, Logistics - Fri - Sun, Days
About the role
This position is based within a Sephora distribution center and is responsible for detecting, apprehending, or deterring employee and third-party activity that results in a loss to company assets.
Responsibilities
- Identify and report theft or policy violations to the supervisor.
- Observe and apprehend individuals committing external theft.
- Review exception reports and inventory reports to detect internal/external dishonest activity.
- Aid in internal investigations and interviews.
- Work independently on physical surveillance on the production floor and through the building's CCTV system.
- Testify in court concerning cases involving the company.
- Participate in inventory processes and shrink reduction plans.
- Train warehouse associates and security guard staff.
- Maintain Loss Prevention awareness and promote available resources.
- Communicate findings with leadership and supervisors.
- Complete Loss Prevention training requirements.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all warehouse personnel, Loss Prevention personnel, guard staff, and local law enforcement agencies.
- Serve as a trainer and mentor for new and existing agents, as well as security guard staff.
- Review and approve security guard staff schedules within the assigned distribution center.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of Loss Prevention experience in a retail environment, preferably within Supply Chain. High school graduate or equivalent education.
Skills
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions in potentially stressful situations.
- Aptitude to de-escalate volatile and possibly dangerous situations.
- Capacity to work independently without direct supervision.
- Able to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.

The target hourly pay for this position is $21.00 - $22.45. The actual hourly pay offered depends on various factors, including starting wages competitive to the market for similar roles; relevant qualifications and experience; and other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position and/or geographic location.
