Asset Protection – Agent – Downtown Portland

About the role

Nordstrom is hiring an Asset Protection Agent at its Downtown Portland store. The role focuses on theft deterrence, investigations, incident response, safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance and identify theft trends.
• Perform apprehensions and recover merchandise under company policy.
• Support internal investigations, RFID research and video review.
• Respond to emergency and medical incidents.
• Complete safety and security audits, reports and court testimony when required.
• Work closely with store teams and law-enforcement contacts.

Qualifications

• A valid Oregon security license is required.
• Investigative, asset-protection or security experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, documentation and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule.

Pay

$24.65–$25.65 per hour
