About the Role
Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS), a leader in project, asset management, commercial, and operational services for the power generation, exploration & production (E&P), and midstream energy sectors, seeks an Asset Management Intern to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced energy industry environment, supporting financial and commercial asset management tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development and tracking of annual operating budgets and business plans to align with owner objectives, monitoring financial and operational variances.
- Assist in reviewing and ensuring compliance with financial, technical, and commercial contracts.
- Monitor wholesale market fundamentals and assigned RTO/ISO protocols to support operational strategies.
- Analyze key project performance indicators and prepare detailed reports for owners and stakeholders.
- Create and manage Excel models for budgeting, settlements, invoicing, and financial analysis of project opportunities.
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive end-of-summer presentation to the CEO and leadership team, summarizing key projects, insights, and actionable recommendations based on internship work.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in business, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field (graduation: Dec 2026 or May 2027).
- GPA: Minimum 3.0 (3.5+ preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including presenting to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Self-motivated with strong time management to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
- Collaborative team player with adaptability to learn new tools and technologies.
Pay
$20 - $25 an hour
