Asset Management - Fund Controller (Private Credit) - Vice President
Job Responsibilities
- Oversight of month-end and quarterly pricing, financial and regulatory reporting and financial statements, and accounting for private credit funds.
- Review and analysis of financial performance communication, interaction with Investor Relations, Internal Financial Reporting, fund administrators, and other parties.
- Ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and other local GAAP as needed.
- Conducting technical accounting research and ensuring appropriate application to private credit investments.
- Preparation and review of cash flow, profitability, and return/performance analyses for portfolio management decision-making.
- Focus on multiple underlying portfolio reviews and interaction with investment/deal team members; research and reporting on market and industry trends/updates with regard to valuation policies.
- Execution of a risk-focused oversight model addressing all aspects of Fund Operations, including monthly/quarterly net asset values, capital calls, distributions, expenses, as well as oversight of month-end and quarterly pricing.
- Leading and participating in various fund-related initiatives, evaluating all aspects of proposals, and identifying solutions to launch/modify the product.
- Preparation of materials summarizing oversight results, escalation of key issues, and reporting initiative status to the funds' governing bodies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- 7+ years' experience in the investment management industry, preferably with private credit experience; strong technical accounting skills with an emphasis on investment company accounting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate issues, propose and implement solutions, and consider all downstream implications.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and the ability to influence and achieve results.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner in any format.
