Asset Inventory & Management - Assistant Project Manager

About the role

GFT is seeking an Asset Inventory & Management - Assistant Project Manager to join our Construction Management Team in Chicago, IL. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Chicago, IL office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct project kickoff, stakeholder identification, project planning and communication.
• Facilitate discovery process to learn and understand existing asset management systems, data, and processes currently in use with CDOT.
• Create a Needs Assessment Report to set the vision, goals, and purpose of CDOT’s integrated asset management program along with a road map of activities including schedule, budget estimates, and return on investment projections to chart the course of adopting key asset management principles.
• Develop, maintain, and manage data acquisition and asset inventory policies and procedures for CDOT.
• Develop and deploy digital solutions to allow CDOT to effectively manage asset inventory and plan improvements more efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation Planning, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years’ progressive experience directly related to Asset Management.
• Prior experience working on projects inside the City of Chicago ROW is preferred.
• Familiar with CDOT Rules & Regulations for work in the Public Right of Way is preferred.
• Proficient with ARCGIS or similar software.
• Educational requirements: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills are imperative.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others.
• Self-motivated, conscientious, and detail orientated.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Skills

• Knowledge of GIS and asset management systems.
• Experience with project management and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to develop and implement digital solutions.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.

Schedule

Core Business Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
