Assessment Therapist (LSW/LPC)

About the Role

This full-time position provides diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention, triage, treatment recommendations, and coordination of care for individuals seeking behavioral health services.

A day in the life includes completing diagnostic assessments, providing crisis stabilization and triage, coordinating treatment recommendations, linking clients with appropriate services, collaborating with providers and finance staff, completing timely clinical documentation, participating in team meetings, and maintaining compliance with documentation standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a mental health or related field
• Ohio licensure through the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and computer skills
• Ability to manage crisis situations and maintain clinical documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external providers

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Skills

• Knowledge of current practice management systems, electronic medical records, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet
• Ohio behavioral health licensure (AoD assessment experience and licensure preferred)

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
