ASSESSMENT INTAKE COORDINATION (MA/MSW)

About the Role

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Intake Assessment Counselor/Coordinator. This role serves as the initial contact for patients and referral sources, providing clinical assessment and determination of ongoing clinical needs.

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. We offer partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Located in Tucson, AZ, at the base of the Catalina Foothills, we are minutes from Saguaro National Park and the University of Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic risk assessment and in-person clinical assessment for patients and referral sources.
• Determine appropriate level of care by consulting with the hospital psychiatrist to decide disposition.
• Facilitate the admission process for patients admitted to the hospital and provide clinical information for ongoing treatment.
• Conduct clinical evaluations and admissions for the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of minimum experience, preferred.
• Licensure as LMSW, LPC, LISAC, or RN, preferred.
