About the role

The role of an ISSO / Systems Administrator at Freedom Technology Solutions Group involves providing certification and accreditation support to advise and assist stakeholders with the Lifecycle Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process, and developing a Systems Security Plan (SSP).

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and operational support for the Sponsor's information security program.
  • Run and execute the A&A process, manage greenlight records.
  • Manage and run security scans, mitigate findings, and perform security updates.
  • Configure systems administration, patching, and deployment of laptops.
  • Shepherd systems through the security process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, information assurance, computer engineering, or a closely related IT and cybersecurity discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience managing document repositories and databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of process tracking and document control software.
  • Demonstrated experience with writing, communications, and briefing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with technical guidance and oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience in INFOSEC policies, regulations, and guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience with cyber risks such as malware, zero-day attacks, denial of service attacks, and their mitigations.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with various levels of staff.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, information assurance, computer engineering, or a closely related IT and cybersecurity discipline.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Sponsor’s standard project cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s diverse information technology infrastructure, including operating systems, major application systems, and network architecture.
