About the role
This project will examine multimedia (texts, audio, video) for claims along with crucial background attributes, such as their claimer, claim objects, stances expressed in the claims, and knowledge from other sources relevant to the claims. This research is part of a larger collaborative project involving multilingual, multimodal semantic analysis for information foraging & conversational search.
Responsibilities
- Examine multimedia sources for claims and related attributes.
- Develop methods for detecting, extracting, and analyzing statements found in multimedia about events in the world.
- Collaborate with a team to integrate findings across different sources and media types.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Computer, Information, or Data Sciences.
- Experience with natural language processing and machine learning techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of multilingual and multimodal data analysis.
Qualifications
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with data mining and knowledge discovery techniques.
Skills
- Expertise in natural language processing.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and models.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
