About the role
Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking an Assembly & Test Tech II- 2nd shift. The hourly rate for this position is $24-$28.50 per hour. The core hours are 3:00pm-11:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware.
- Develop hardware, create functional test setups, work with various high-pressure gases, and initiate engineering collaboration to successfully deliver quality aerospace components and systems.
- Communicate and coordinate with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
- Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines.
- Possess knowledge/experience with assembly and test requirements.
- Ability to evaluate mechanical systems, use of common assembly tools/measuring equipment.
- Independently perform low and moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions.
- Ability to perform low to moderate complexity product testing using test equipment while following written acceptance test documents.
- Understand product quality requirements and follow non-conforming material processes.
- Report findings to team and generate non-conforming hardware documentation.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision.
- Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 2 years of relevant manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experience.
- Previous experience using various hand tools and measuring equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma with Skilled Trade certification or Associates Degree.
- 3 years of Aerospace Manufacturing or Assembly and Test Position experience.
- Demonstrated ability to complete all required technical skills above.
- Demonstrated ability to use various hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts.
- Able to follow work instructions and perform tasks without supervision.
- Able to communicate effectively, manage time and adapt to various work environments.
