Assembly Technician - Night Shift

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Basic assembly of various parts/components into completed unit sections and sub-assemblies
• Follow directions and show comprehension of instructions given
• Identify paperwork to adhere to Evapco Quality standards
• Take constructive criticism and fix identified mistakes in a timely manner with a positive, continuous improvement attitude
• Take initiative to expand knowledge and enhance learning ability
• Participate in team and shop business problem-solving activities related to quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements
• Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets
• Attend training courses as directed by management
• Work to achieve and maintain a minimum 90% efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/16"
• Use of overhead crane (after receiving appropriate training)
• Basic shop math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, whole numbers and fractions)
• Reading Production Orders and understanding shop drawings
• Familiarity with common hand and power tools
• High School diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
• Lifting of 50 lbs. or less
• Continuous shift work, Monday through Friday, and some weekends
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
