Assembly Technician II

About the role

Carrier, global leader in climate and energy solutions, seeks an Assembly Technician II to join their team. This role is based at CAN03: Carrier-Charlotte, located at 9701 Old Statesville Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269 USA.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate power tools to ensure precise assembly, prevent defects and minimize risk of injury
• Performs a variety of functions following prescribed procedures in product assembly and testing
• Assembles components as required on time and according to quality specifications
• Identifies improvement areas and effectively communicates ways to implement change
• Maintains the cleanliness of workstation and assists with entire department housekeeping
• High personal standards with regards to productivity, quality, and safety
• Willingness to learn multiple stations within the department
• Overtime and weekend hours may be assigned

Required Qualifications

• A High School Diploma/GED
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing assembly
• 2+ years of experience reading blueprints, standard work instructions, bills of material, and precision measuring instruments

Preferred Qualifications

• Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments
• Exceptional customer service skills and a great teamwork
• Solid mechanical background
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
