Assembly Technician I - Training on 2nd & 3rd Shift

About the role

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is preparing to open its new Advanced Switchgear Facility (ASF) in New Galilee, PA. We are seeking skilled Assembly Technicians to join our team and contribute to the growth and transformation of North America's electric utilities.

Responsibilities

• Build frames, bushings, and sub-assemblies for circuit breakers and parts orders according to detailed company specifications and work orders.
• Perform basic electrical connections based on diagrams and specs, ensuring all components are properly prepared for shipment, including applying sealants and securing packages.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to create high-quality assemblies, adhering to technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, and bills of materials.
• Inspect subassemblies and assemblies for defects using specialized equipment and rectify any issues to maintain top-notch quality.
• Learns and discusses Mitsubishi Electric's Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies, understanding their significance and impact on your work.

Requirements

• Mechanical Enthusiast: Experience with tools and a passion for assembly work.
• Education: High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of work experience or equivalent education.
• Tech-Savvy: Basic computer skills are beneficial.
• Safety-Minded: Completion of necessary safety training to operate machinery and equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, navigate ladders, and work at heights for various tasks.

Pay

Competitive pay is offered based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Initially, training will be conducted on an evening shift, but this will be temporary as transitioning to a 1st shift is part of the plan. The schedule will be determined upon completion of training.
