Assembly Technician (day shift)

Laser North, a laser cutting and fabrication specialist, is seeking a full-time Assembly Technician to join their team in Baraga, Michigan.

About the role

Our assembly technicians are the Swiss army knife of our operations. They assist in all production stages, as necessary, to achieve quality and timely services for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Production assembly
• Paint inspections
• Parts handling and sorting
• Grinding and de-burring
• Forklift materials handling
• Light machining
• Facility cleaning and up-keep
• Pallet and crate assembly
• Order fulfillment and shipping support

Requirements

• Self-motivation and excellent work ethic
• Previous manufacturing or related experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to read and understand prints or instructions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems
• Ability to balance a sense of urgency while maintaining the highest level of safety, quality, and efficiency
• Ability to follow business rules and guidelines, safe work practices, and safe lifting techniques

Pay

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

Schedule

Day shift: Monday - Thursday 5am – 2:30pm; Friday 5am – 9am.
