About the role
The Assembly Technician position is within the Ground Support Equipment division of TLD, a leading manufacturer in the aviation and aerospace industries. This role is integral to ALVEST, a global network of businesses with a strong focus on commercial, general aviation, air cargo, and military aviation sectors.
Responsibilities
- Assemble preformed sheet metal parts using tools like drills, wrenches, high-pressure carts, screwdrivers, hammers, and other necessary equipment.
- Operate equipment safely and considerately, ensuring the safety of both yourself and your colleagues.
- Assemble and pressure test valves and similar components as directed.
- Accurately and efficiently interpret assembly and sub-assembly drawings and sketches.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Keep a daily log of work completed on manufacturing and production travelers.
- Assist with establishing and maintaining standards for continuous improvement.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical and supervisory skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in assembly of preformed sheet metal parts is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and measuring scales is essential.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team is required.
Shift Information
Full-time position, Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm.
