Assembly Technician

About the Role

Mopec is a leader in empowering pathology and anatomy professionals with the leading platform of products and solutions for the advancement of diagnostic accuracy, safety, research, and the treatment of disease. As an assembler on first or second shift, you will contribute to these efforts by installing components on products at our Madison Heights, MI corporate office.

Responsibilities

• Installs plumbing components to equipment, including cutting pipe and using torches to solder as needed per customer requirements.
• Installs electrical wiring and components as needed per customer requirements.
• Uses power tools including drills, stud welders, cutting tools, testing equipment, and basic hand tools.
• Works to a priority list as set by the production schedule.
• Performs general preventative maintenance on machinery inside the assembly department.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of electrical wiring (preferred).
• Fundamental understanding of plumbing (preferred).
• Fundamental understanding of machining (preferred).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of VISUAL ERP system (preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints for Mopec products (preferred).
• Ability to operate power tools and hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
