Assembly Technician

About the role

Offering multidisciplinary electrical solutions under one roof, we have helped plan, construct, install, and integrate some of the most advanced electrical, controls, and telecommunications systems. We are looking for talented, motivated electrical and construction professionals to join our team. As an Assembly Technician you will be tasked with the final assembly of our products prior to shipping. Assembly is the last line of defense to catch any defects and is critical to our success. You will work closely with the other production departments to ensure the quality of our products and point out areas we can improve on. Keeping the assembly Cell running smooth is essential to keeping our internal and external customers happy. Physical demands include sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; frequent lifting/moving up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting/moving up to 50 pounds. Required vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is shop-based; typical hours Monday–Friday during normal business hours, with possible longer hours, weekend work, and some travel for training/continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment in the Assembly cell
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and use various tools for assembly
• Manage detailed inventory and highlight any issues in the supply chain
• Select the correct details for part being assembled
• Search out and suggest better methods and tooling for the assembly process
• Manipulating products using lifting devices and automatic equipment
• Electronically document/track status of work and finished product
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and print specifications
• Test final assembly for proper fit up and functioning
• Work closely with fabrication to improve the quality of parts and ease of assembly
• Work closely with production control to understand production requirements
• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Stay updated with the latest techniques and technologies applicable to your equipment and role
• Stay up to date on new tooling, fixturing and assembly practices
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills
• Perform regular maintenance on equipment in the cell
• Diagnose and resolve issues with equipment, and coordinate with management as required
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines of Dynalectric and the equipment fabrication
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Perform other duties as required
• Cross training in other areas to help support production requirements

• Experience in active fabricating facilities

• Must have valid driver license/insurance and reliable transportation
