About the role

This role will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in-office role 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions.
  • Select proper materials from kit carts to complete standard work.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas and 5S principles.
  • Use designated inspection equipment to inspect completed work.
  • Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Maintain equipment and perform preventive maintenance when required.
  • Ensure efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
  • Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality; resolve any identified problems, and alert appropriate chain of command.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Could be required to travel to other Bloom facilities within the Delaware locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalency diploma required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic hand tool experience.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
  • Navigate the facility throughout the day.
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials.
  • Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and standard operational procedures (SOPs) required to ensure the safety of the employee and others on the manufacturing floor.

Pay

Salary Ranges: $18.73 - $26.95
