About the role
Exciting opportunity to join an innovative company in the alternative energy sector. We are seeking a Battery Pack Assembly Technician to join our team in Cedar Park. This crucial role involves the precision assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of high-voltage (HV) battery modules and subassemblies designed for cutting-edge power systems.
This is a unique opportunity to work with complex, high-cost materials in a pilot-to-production environment, offering significant influence over manufacturing processes and growth opportunities within a rapidly scaling organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform precision mechanical and electrical assembly of high-voltage battery modules, packs, busbars, and cooling components.
- Execute advanced electrical testing, validation, and utilize diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot performance deviations.
- Support the scaling process by providing critical, real-time feedback to Engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM), tooling optimization, and process refinements in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure strict safety and quality compliance.
- Mentor junior technicians and assist in the development and certification of new assembly procedures.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with high-voltage (HV) electrical component builds.
- Experience or strong familiarity with laser welding processes or other high-precision automated bonding techniques, and a keen eye for quality control in complex assemblies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, complex mechanical drawings, and specialized work instructions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and process discipline.
- Comfortable using specialized test equipment (e.g., multimeters, Hi-Pot testers, torque tools) and basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
