About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be the assembly of our handheld Field Forensics products. Daily tasks include producing and evaluating our MX908, ProtectIR, ExplorIR, VipIR, and ThreatID products by following defined procedures and work instructions. The role also involves documentation, data entry, and preparation of test and quality reports, as well as visual inspection and quality assurance sampling measurements.

You will collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to troubleshoot production issues and assist in the continuous improvement of assembly and test processes. The ideal candidate will have experience working on sub-assemblies for analytical instruments, such as mammography machines, FTIR, or Mass Spec instruments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble handheld Field Forensics products (MX908, ProtectIR, ExplorIR, VipIR, ThreatID) following defined procedures and work instructions.
• Perform visual inspections and quality assurance sampling measurements.
• Document processes, enter data, and prepare test and quality reports.
• Troubleshoot production issues with the Manufacturing Engineering team.
• Assist in continuous improvement of assembly and test processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• More than 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and multitask.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using basic lab equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, stereomicroscopes, torque tools, and pin gauges.
• Reliable, hard-working, and able to work independently.
• Computer literate and comfortable with electronic documentation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required.

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, located in Danbury, CT.
