About the role

As our Assembly Technician Apprentice, you will report to the Bevcorp Operations Manager. On a given day, you may assemble or fabricate mechanical parts and pieces using a variety of hand tools and equipment. Complete safety programs within JBT expectations (BBSO's, Near Misses, etc.) to include exceeding goals. Read and interpret basic blueprints for assembling machines to proper specifications. Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets standards and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. Use in-house mechanical equipment such as forklift, overhead cranes, and hoists. Maintain work areas and equipment, tools, and machines in a safe, neat, and orderly condition. Clock in and out of job/rework/project/builds by use of E10. Operate bead blast/power wash/paint booths. Perform all work following quality standards and established safety procedures. Travel on short notice as part of the apprenticeship program. Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines. Set up and adjust machines to equipment specifications. Keep training jacket updated daily with on-the-job training details and level signoffs. Perform all tasks with required safety equipment and comply with all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

After completion of the apprenticeship program, team members will be transferred to the Field Service department.
