Position Overview

Innomotics in New Kensington, PA, is seeking an Assembly Technician for their 1st Shift position. This role requires completion of mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools and electronic/pneumatic tooling.

Responsibilities

Wire and assemble drives, sub-assemblies, and various components according to engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of material.
Fit, align, drill, cut, and/or grind materials (metal, plastic).
Lift and position products to precise locations using overhead cranes and other material handling devices.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area by following 5S practices and adhering to safety regulations.
Adhere to all safety policies and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
Review and follow ISO workmanship procedures.
Work with Quality Assurance to meet internal and external customer expectations.
Identify discrepancies and questionable conditions related to tasks and communicate to appropriate personnel.
Participate in Lean continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist less experienced associates.
Perform overtime as required.
May perform other duties as requested, advised, or assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficient use of basic hand and power tools required.
Ability to perform responsibilities from engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of materials.
Ability to climb to different heights and work at heights above waist level.
Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
Good written and oral communication skills required.
Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
Strong mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

Experience in a production environment preferred.
One-year mechanical, electrical, or related experience preferred.
Basic digital literacy preferred.
Associate degree in electrical or electronics preferred.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is ($18.50 to $24.00) an hour. The shift differential for working second shift is $2.50. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
