This is a 12-month contract assignment located in San Antonio, Texas.

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and highly motivated Assembly Seibi Technician to provide technical and skilled support to the Assembly Final Assembly Engineering team. This role supports the Final Assembly Production Engineering department's objective to provide high-quality, low-cost, and reliable plant equipment and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review equipment specifications and design, identify improvements, and conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functions.
  • Install equipment and verify safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Investigate to determine modification requirements, implement modifications, and trial/adjust as needed.
  • Lower cost and decrease project time by confirming safety, quality, and productivity of equipment at the vendor prior to installation.
  • Minimize adjustment time during vehicle trials by performing quality trials at the vendor.
  • Oversee installation by the vendor and facilitate the kanban process to lower cost and decrease project time.
  • Improve equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments identified during online vehicle trials.
  • Confirm quality results by secondary methods (e.g., torque check, vacuum profiles).
  • Install, set up, and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley program controllers.
  • Provide training to Maintenance members on newly implemented equipment.
  • Share Subject Matter Expert knowledge with local NAMC Maintenance and Production members.
  • Travel up to 50% at times, including international travel.

Requirements

  • Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting experience (Toyopuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley) – 2 years.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs – 2 years.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits and industrial controls – 2 years.
  • 2-year technical degree or completion of a trade school program (EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology) and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% at times, including international travel.
  • Ability to work up to 30% overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs on occasion.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch frequently on varying surfaces.
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed repairs.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including hot, cold, or confined spaces.
  • Stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work long shifts.

Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial robot programming and teaching.
  • Knowledge of AGVs/AMRs programming and setup.
  • Knowledge of safety scanners and programming.
  • Knowledge of various industrial control networking (EthernetIP, FLNet, ProfiNet, etc.).
  • Automotive manufacturing experience.

Pay

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour.

Schedule

Shift timing: 9 AM to 5 PM.
