Assembly Production Supervisor

About the role

The Assembly Production Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance while managing floor staff. This role involves scheduling workflows, training employees, troubleshooting machinery, and achieving production goals in a dynamic manufacturing environment supporting critical infrastructure in semiconductor, automotive, defense, aerospace, and artificial intelligence sectors.

Responsibilities

• Work with all functions within the organization to drive continuous improvement and establish a culture of excellence in execution and communication.
• Recognize and solve problems affecting operations to improve performance and quality of services.
• Plan and maintain schedules, direct the work of employees, and provide training.
• Provide direction, coaching, counseling, and leadership to motivate employees and improve performance.
• Lead a production team to meet and exceed targets related to People, Safety, Environment, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Coordinate production activities with purchasing, maintenance/facilities, engineering, and quality control to optimize team members, schedules, and production equipment.
• Engage with the engineering team to utilize capacity models and assess constraints as projected demand changes.
• Perform administrative duties such as employee meetings, timekeeping, attendance, vacation requests, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, interviewing, rewards & recognition, and training.
• Manage production and deliveries to target levels.
• Assist the Production Manager by providing data and analysis on production, quality control, maintenance, and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with training plans, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Support and drive lean principles throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Maintain a safe operating environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to anticipate potential problems.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement).

Pay

Annual salary range: $73,000 - $95,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
