Job Overview
Leads the development and implementation of manual and automated production systems. Takes ownership of their area of responsibility by ensuring volume and costs goals, high quality standards are met, while providing a safe working environment for all employees. Assists with implementation of new production technologies.
Responsibilities
- Defines budgets and scheduling; tracks budget achievement and costs
- Contributes to the development of implementation strategies
- Oversees the development and implementation of new production technologies and ensures continued process improvements
- Works closely with different departments on the development and implementation of production processes
- Manages projects as well as collaborates with project managers on optimization of plant utilization
- Ensures that the expected level of safety, quality, quantity, and deadlines of the production process are met
- Implements lean manufacturing concepts to achieve goals
- Considers and ensures compliance of product-specific and plant-specific environmental concerns and government regulations
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, directives, and work agreements
- Leads regularly scheduled team meetings
- Participates in regularly scheduled Assembly meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifikationen
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage 2-3 Group leaders as direct reports 150 - 200 indirect reports; Leads team members in organizational culture, values and guidelines; defines performance goals, conducts performance evaluations; effectively communicates and engages team member to meet objectives; Responsible for team member development and qualification.
- Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in planning, development, and implementation of production processes and technologies. Including experience in a leadership role; directing, training, mentoring, and developing team members in a fast paced environment.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Internal candidates should have completed PV-44.
Financial Responsibilities
Plan and manage the budget for the associated area; Manages budget and team member allocation efficiently. Conveys budget distribution and cost saving processes to colleagues.
Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten
- Qualified candidate must have extensive knowledge in Assembly shop systems
- Adequate knowledge in LEAN manufacturing and how to apply it in a modern work environment
- Able to perform the essential functions of the job.
