Assembly Operator

About the role

Assembler position responsible for reading blueprints, assembling box cabinets and racks, using tools, packing for shipment, moving materials, and completing documentation while adhering to safety and dress‑code standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and flat layouts to ensure accurate assembly of box cabinets, racks, and related components.
• Use tools and assembly techniques: bend fastening devices, fit and secure interlocking parts, apply touch‑up paint to finished cabinets as needed.
• Pack cabinets for shipment to protect products and prepare them for delivery.
• Move materials using hand trucks or fork trucks and complete required documentation and related paperwork.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE (safety glasses, ear protection, steel‑toed safety shoes).
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, demonstrate reliability and accountability, and exhibit a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and flat layouts.
• Basic understanding of building skills; electrical or mechanical background is a plus.
• Capable of frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and performing standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, and grasping tasks.
• Willingness to adhere to dress code: long pants with steel‑toed shoes, T‑shirts, no tank tops or clothing with holes, tears, or rips.
