About the role

The Assembly Operator I position involves hands-on assembly, labeling, and packaging of products according to quality standards. Responsibilities include working independently or as part of a team, adhering to safety and quality protocols, and reporting adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package products according to Work Instructions.
  • Select and move production materials as required.
  • Maintain equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
  • Meet established safety, quality, performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Record accurate information on Manufacturing Orders and perform necessary transactions to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
  • Comply with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards.
  • Report adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leaders in accordance to escalation procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Notify team leaders or other appropriate resources when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed.
  • Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing or production work experience.
  • Bend, squat down, and reach above your head.
  • Climb stairs and ladders.
  • Lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
  • Work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Identify and escalate non-conforming process, product, or environmental issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
