About the role

The Assembly Operator role is located at Coralville, Iowa, and involves performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes under direct supervision. The position is on the first shift and requires availability to work during that shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine and/or manual assembly tasks.
  • Soldering and computer work as required.
  • Execute unique assembly processes.
  • Accurately read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
  • Take ownership of the accuracy of processes.
  • Meet internal and external customer deadlines as assigned by the team.
  • Build parts that comply with drawing specifications.
  • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).
  • Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.
  • Understand and use computer tools like SAP and follow work instructions accurately.
  • Achieve special process certification where applicable.
  • Demonstrate a proactive role in problem-solving.
  • Pursue certifications in continuous improvement (ACE).
  • Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge, or resolve problems related to production issues.
  • Effectively interact with others.
  • Participate in cost reduction plans.
  • Participate in waste minimization efforts.
  • Participate in audits.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • No security clearance is required.
  • Must be available to work 1st shift.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • In the absence of a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62.
  • Must be willing and able to work 1st shift.

Skills

Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions. Highly motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
