Responsibilities
- Proficiently operate all key machines, equipment, and processes (Including: Cover Welding – Visual, and Dispo or SITEC) per M.O.I.’s/Work Instructions in the assembly department.
- Consistently achieve expected production rate across assembly processes.
- Perform basic gauging and visual inspections; verify gauges are correct and calibrated.
- Perform inspections to verify conformance; sustain high quality output across all processes in assembly.
- Accurately complete production paperwork to ensure product ID and traceability is maintained. (Followers, Inspection Retains, etc.).
- Support Group Leads by assisting with documentation, part flow, and troubleshooting. (May include Printer Setups, and Line Clearance)
- Help direct employees on daily tasks in alignment with department safety, quality, and production expectations.
- Enter labor hours in MES and monitor personal time/attendance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Glasses, etc.) per JHA’s (Job Hazard Analysis).
- Participate in basic Continuous Improvement activities.
- Provide input on process improvements and assist in problem solving groups.
- Follow all H&M policies.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- High School Diploma, Technical School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Making 4+ years of manufacturing experience or required training internally or at least all essential duties sustained for 3 months.
- Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions (MOI’s, Work Instructions, Quality Bulletins, Job Followers, etc.)
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees.
- Ability to train, guide, and support operators.
- Ability to support documentation, part flow, and process troubleshooting.
- Ability to do basic math.
- Ability to participate in small problem solving/critical thinking groups.
- Ability to work overtime and on Saturdays on an as needed basis.
