Assembly - Laborer

About the role

The Assembly Laborer position at Lippert Components is a full-time role with a focus on assembling components according to product specifications. This role reports to a supervisor and is responsible for various tasks including preparing work, positioning parts, assembling components, resolving assembly problems, maintaining equipment, and keeping a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Solves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies
• Daily communication with supervisor regarding potential issues
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ensures safety measures are followed to protect personnel and company property
• Achieves quality and timely results by performing other duties as directed by supervisor and management

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities upon hiring, but there is potential for direct reports in the future.

• May have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Up to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to identify that product meets quality and productivity standards
• Able to use hand tools
• Able to focus on details to guarantee production of high quality products
• Able to read and follow documented procedures and standards
• Able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements
• Willing and available to work overtime to reach goals
• Clear communication (oral and written) skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
