Assembly Engineering Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop in process routers.
  • Transfer work instruction to alternate formats.
  • Make adjustments to in process routers/work instructions that are found during all stages of the build process.
  • Implement change requests to applicable paperwork when requested.
  • Communicate with multiple departments to gather information on paperwork updates needed.
  • All other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Competent working with MS Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.) to include internet search capability, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Ability to read and comprehend cable drawings.
  • Ability to read and comprehend specifications and standards.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in cable/wire harness manufacturing industry.

Communication Skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills, able to read, comprehend and create written and verbal instructions in the English language.

Working Conditions

  • Working hours may fluctuate above and beyond established shift hours.
  • Limited exposure to moderate noise levels may occur.

Physical Requirements

  • This job requires standing and sitting for an extended period of time.
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects.
  • Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
  • Frequently work on projects that require deadlines.
  • Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds.
