About the role
Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms, and documents. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
Responsibilities
- Fully comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, IPC & J-STD knowledge, terms, and documents.
- Must be flexible in supporting program needs by being readily available to flex between processes as necessary.
- Understands complex work instructions.
- Programs and operates automated equipment.
- Serves as a resource to other employees in areas of expertise, providing on-the-job training when necessary.
- Able to work under a low-power microscope.
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
- Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
- Works autonomously within their designated area as applicable.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Skills
- Hand soldering experience.
- Mechanical assembly experience.
