Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Assembly: Perform sub-assembly of commercial HVAC units by following verbal and written instructions and engineering work orders.
- Component Mounting: Mount various parts including sheet metal, panels, roof sections, doors, and fans.
- Sealing & Insulation: Apply caulking and insulation tape as instructed to ensure proper sealing and prevent air leaks or condensation.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate ladders and overhead cranes to mount large or heavy parts.
- Quality Control: Identify and report any part mismatches or defects to the line lead or supervisor immediately.
- Operational Support: Cross-train at multiple workstations and assist other departments as required to meet production targets.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow all company safety processes and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using various hand tools, air tools, and measuring tools.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work orders (WOs).
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to understand and follow safety directions.
- Aptitude: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to be trained in new operational areas.
- Reliability: Ability to follow the standard work schedule based on production and business needs.
