Assembly and Test Operator – First Shift

Schedule

7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday, with Friday overtime as necessary (7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.). This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position.

About the Role

FEMA Corporation has entry-level openings for the first shift in its Production Department. Operators work on teams assembling, testing, and packaging hydraulic valves on various production lines in a temperature-controlled environment. No prior experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manual assembly of small components (with training)
• Standing up to twelve (12) hours or sitting for up to three (3) hours while operating machines or equipment
• Use of measuring tools including calipers, indicators, meters, and gages (with training)
• Construction and interpretation of statistical quality control charts using manual or computerized methods (with training)
• Packaging and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
• Operation of hydraulic test systems (with training)
• Completion of routine shop paperwork, including basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Light machine maintenance, including oiling, cleaning, and setup (with training)
• General housekeeping
• Use of loctites, epoxies, and other manufacturing materials
• Other assigned duties

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
