Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
  • Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, torque guns) with accuracy.
  • Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
  • Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
  • Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
  • Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
  • Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
  • Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing equipment from trucks in a safe manner following all safety protocols.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing parts from trucks in a safe manner following safety protocol.
  • Perform equipment inspections on all incoming machines, to include condition, pictures and uploading pictures.
  • Yard and machine parking and organization.
  • Minor repairs on used equipment.
  • Use jumper cables and/or jump pack to start machines that have dead batteries.
  • Keep yard clean and free of litter and debris.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.
  • Standout Qualifications: 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.
