Assembler - Tifton

Primary Responsibilities

• Supplying production lines with components.
• Loading hoppers with fiber, making boxes for pillows, and applying license plates to pallets.
• Pulling bags and shells to the line from the staging area.
• Packing and boxing pillows.
• Packing shipping cartons with finished products according to customer specifications.
• Accurately counting cartons and affixing appropriate labels onto cartons.
• Helping production workers by performing duties requiring less skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment.

Position Duties

• Inventory Scanning: Using hand-held scanners to scan license plates.
• Selecting orders to run on operator screens and recording downtime and changeovers on operator screens.
• Keeping records of fiber license plates pulled to the line.
• Performing changeover duties in between work orders.

Safety and Equipment

• Carefully and safely using all company equipment and property.
• Reporting any equipment problems to the immediate supervisor or the maintenance department.
• Ensuring the safety of oneself and one’s co-workers while performing duties.
