Assembler Tester III, 2nd Shift (2:30 - 11:00pm)

About the role

HME is seeking an Assembler Tester III, 2nd Shift (2:30 - 11:00pm) to join our dynamic team. This position involves assembly, rework, and packaging of products, as well as testing and inspection activities.

Responsibilities

• Assembly, Rework and Packaging
• Assembles, reworks, and/or reassembles product as specified on applicable documentation.
• Verifies accuracy of instruction documents (e.g. schematics, assembly drawings, bills of material).
• Checks work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
• Uses a computer for data entry and inputs serial numbers into the mainframe.
• Packages parts into kits for shipping.
• Lables and packages product including manuals and accessories.
• Informs supervisor or lead of work-related problems.
• Trains others in assembly, rework and packaging processes.
• Test and Inspection
• Performs testing activities including current checks, burn-ins, and operation of Automated Test Equipment.
• Programs boards utilizing different software according to procedure and version required.
• Verifies assemblies and subassemblies against applicable documentation.
• Verifies Part Number, Revision Level, and Quantity received.
• Counsults electrical tests, sorting failed assemblies from passed assemblies.
• Records test data and results.
• Informs supervisor or lead of discrepancies discovered.
• Participates on manufacturing audits, 7S program.
• Trains others in test and inspection processes.
• Planning & Inventory
• Aids Team Lead with planning, inventory control and product movement.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform moderately complex assembly operations.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and assembly aides.
• Good verbal, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Basic understanding of small hand tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in continuous improvement programs.
• Broad knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience/Skills Matrix
• Minimum 3 years (5 years preferred) of electronic assembly and testing experience with proven skillset as defined in Skills Matrix qualification (see separate documentation).
• Technical Certification or degree preferred.
• Soldering experience required.
• Technical expert and/or trainer in multiple skill sets of electro-mechanical assembly.

Education

• High School diploma or GED required.

Pay and Schedule

The posted pay range, $18.90 - $25.20, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision, and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
