About the role
Assemble and test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assemble valves following Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines (VQP 011).
- Test valves following Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines (VQP 010).
- Ensure strict compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements during production.
- Pull parts for purchasing, sales, production, and inventory orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Pull sales order jobs and I-jobs for vendors.
- Verify materials pulled match the sales order document, including parts identification and quantity.
- Have Shop Lead or HP Production Manager check order accuracy before shipment (this responsibility may eventually transfer to this position).
- Label parts with sales order number and job number if shipping to a vendor; label pallets or bins if going to Production.
- Clock out order documentation via barcode after order is pulled.
- Notify Shipping Department or Low/High-Pressure shop when an order is pulled; write staging location on file and give it to the department manager if going to Shop.
- Stock inbound freight and replenish warehouse locations.
- Clock inventory into the system via barcode (M2M) and ensure 100% accuracy in quantity input.
- Replenish pulling locations from overstock locations daily as needed.
- Perform daily housekeeping, safety checks of equipment, and cleaning of the department; clean back storage yard as needed.
- Perform other work-related functions as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in assembly or relevant work.
- Ability to work the night shift.
Skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality processes.
- Experience using pneumatic tools and hand tools.
- Preferred experience with actuators and automated valves.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read blueprints, part numbers, and interpret instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and demanding environment.
- Self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to handle multiple demands with urgency, drive, and energy.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and deliver on time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
