About the role

Assemble and test valves in accordance with established Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble valves following Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines (VQP 011).
  • Test valves following Valvtechnologies production and quality control guidelines (VQP 010).
  • Ensure strict compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements during production.
  • Pull parts for purchasing, sales, production, and inventory orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Pull sales order jobs and I-jobs for vendors.
  • Verify materials pulled match the sales order document, including parts identification and quantity.
  • Have Shop Lead or HP Production Manager check order accuracy before shipment (this responsibility may eventually transfer to this position).
  • Label parts with sales order number and job number if shipping to a vendor; label pallets or bins if going to Production.
  • Clock out order documentation via barcode after order is pulled.
  • Notify Shipping Department or Low/High-Pressure shop when an order is pulled; write staging location on file and give it to the department manager if going to Shop.
  • Stock inbound freight and replenish warehouse locations.
  • Clock inventory into the system via barcode (M2M) and ensure 100% accuracy in quantity input.
  • Replenish pulling locations from overstock locations daily as needed.
  • Perform daily housekeeping, safety checks of equipment, and cleaning of the department; clean back storage yard as needed.
  • Perform other work-related functions as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in assembly or relevant work.
  • Ability to work the night shift.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality processes.
  • Experience using pneumatic tools and hand tools.
  • Preferred experience with actuators and automated valves.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints, part numbers, and interpret instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and demanding environment.
  • Self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to handle multiple demands with urgency, drive, and energy.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and deliver on time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
