Assembler-Night Shift

About the role

Quanex is looking for an Assembler-Night Shift to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This position performs routine assembly in a climate-controlled production environment. The parts produced in our facility include window balances, handle sets, and locks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a computer to fulfill customer orders
• Utilize machines and other equipment throughout the assembly process
• Understand and follow written, visual, and verbal instructions
• Lift and move up to 35 pounds
• Meet production standards while performing assembly tasks
• Adhere to all safety rules and quality standards
• Maintain a good attendance record
• Cross train in other departments as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to communicate with others
• Ability to find and correct safety hazards
• Ability to alternate standing for 10-hour shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a similar assembly role preferred

Pay

$17.00 per hour plus $1.25/hour for shift premium for night shift.

Schedule

Typical Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am.
