About the role
Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer of Display Cases, Specialty Products, Refrigeration Systems, Power Systems and Comprehensive Services. DFR is part of the Refrigeration and Food Equipment segment of the Dover Corporation® (NYSE: DOV).
Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
- Identify parts used on their assigned product line, and their placement location on the product itself
- Read and comprehend blueprints or schematic drawings to determine locations, size, capacity, and type of components, such as compressor, condenser, expansion valves and tubing or piping needed to build equipment
- Cut, bend, and braze specified tubing to inlets and outlets of components to form liquid and suction lines or refrigeration systems
- Remove air from system and charges system with specified amount and type of refrigerant
- Conduct pre-startup to check all equipment
- Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
- Perform any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
- Identify parts and part descriptions using work order information, like bill of materials
- Utilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioning
- Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
- Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
- Utilize electrical testing equipment like dielectric testing or voltage meters
- Work at different workstations as production needs require
- Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
- Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
- Occasionally – Kneeling, Squatting, Pinching, Foot Use, and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs alone and 75lbs assisted
- Frequently – Walking, Stooping/Twisting, Pushing/Pulling, Neck Rotation/Extension, and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs
- Constantly – Standing, Reaching, Gripping, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 10lbs
